Stefan KrÜskemper

Get Busy. A Game (2007) · Schaubühne Lindenfels · Leipzig

In collaboration with Leipzig citizens, Stefan Krüskemper and Jörg Amonat initiated a joint project on the theme of work. The “Gesellschaft für erweiterte Tätigkeitsformen” (Society for Other Forms of Busyness) that this project set up provided a forum where people could air their wishes and desires for alternative work models.

The project focused particularly on Leipzig’s former industrial district Plagwitz, a place where the concept of “work” has changed considerably in recent decades. In a workshop, participants got into groups to dream up possible scenarios for the “work of tomorrow”. They then acted out their ideas in real life, in both the public and private spheres. These small scenes thus created mini utopias depicting new forms of cooperation and coexistence.
