With the Citizen Art Days (CAD) format, the Berlin-based artist group Parallele Welten is developing new forms of participation for and with society. The focus is on the creative potential of citizens, city actors and artists to shape the common public sphere. Within the frame of the Interim Semester at the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore, Stefan Krüskemper, María Linares and Kerstin Polzin explored together with students the spheres of the res publica by means of artistic strategies. Thematic areas discussed include, among others, the notion of a responsible economy, sustainability, and a sense of togetherness in the public space, specially concerning women issues. The resulting students’ projects (and their partners) were presented and discussed at the Metro Rangoli Art Center, MG Road in Bangalore. |
Mit dem Format der Citizen Art Days (CAD) erarbeitet die Berliner Künstler*innengruppe Parallele Welten neue Beteiligungsformen für und mit der Gesellschaft. Im Fokus stehen dabei die kreativen Potentiale von Bürgern, Stadtakteuren und Künstlern zur Formung des gemeinsamen Öffentlichen. Im Rahmen des Interim-Semesters an der Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology erforschten Stefan Krüskemper, María Linares und Kerstin Polzin 2013 in Bangalore, Indien gemeinsam mit Studierenden die Sphären des Öffentlichen mittels künstlerischer Strategien. Die entstandenen Projekte der Studierenden und ihrer Partner*innen wurden am Rangoli Metro Art Center, MG Road in Bangalore präsentiert und diskutiert. |
