Why Dessau? Why the municipal park? Is there anything special about it? No, there isn’t. The park is a common park in the city centre of Dessau. Everything is normal: a fountain, some benches, the obligatory sculptures, a snackbar. Maybe what was special was the fact, that most people felt indifferent towards the park.

Am Anfang des Projektes wurde uns immer wieder die Frage gestellt: Warum der Stadtpark von Dessau, was ist das Besondere an diesem Park? Es gibt nichts Exklusives, das sofort auffällt. Aber vielleicht ist es genau dieses Banale, das uns überall begegnet. Diese Orte existieren zu Tausenden mit dem Charme des Unspektakulären. Also warum nicht der Dessauer Stadtpark?
